The article discusses the narrative of an ex-military of the Popular Movement for the Liberation of Angola (PMLA), now residing in Brazil, who, from 1983 to 1986, fought in the Civil War in his country.
Privileging the oral narrative and comparing with the bibliography on the subject, we investigate the daily life of a combatant, who represents, to a certain extent, other daily civil war on the African continent, in the context of the twentieth century, more precisely in the period historically called the Cold War.
