The collections of the National Gallery of Scotland are divided into the following: New Acquisitions, Surrealism, Contemporary Art in Scotland, ARTIST ROOMS, Mackinnon Collection, Scottish Art, Vaughan Bequest J. M. W. Turner Collection, Masterpieces, Photography and Hill & Adamson Collection. On its walls hang works by Titian, Vermeer, Rembrandt, John Singer Sargent, Reynolds and Watteau, as well as Velázquez’s Old Woman Frying Eggs. The photography collection has prominent names, such as Cindy Sherman and Bill Brandt.
