It is one of the best-positioned PT HEI in national and international rankings: Times Higher Education 2019 (401-500); QS 2019\/2020 (353); Leiden 2019 (159); NTU 2019 (220).<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ffa58ae elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ffa58ae\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-settings=\"{&quot;coursector_ext_hide_logged_in&quot;:&quot;false&quot;}\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tIt has 14 Faculties, 1 Business School and 49 Research Centres located in 3 campuses. UPORTO is the most south-after PT HEI among the PT applicants to the HE System (1.7 applicants\/available vacancy) and a leading producer of science in PT, responsible for 23,8% of the total scientific production (2012-16). Ensuring high quality in training, education and research is of paramount importance to UPORTO, together with its strong commitment towards society. It has been consolidating its social responsibility through the promotion of volunteering projects, the intensification of the interaction with several local\/regional associations in the organisation of cultural, social and artistic activities. As a truly international HEI, with 6.121 international students from ~80 nationalities, internationalisation is one of UPORTO\u2019s strategic pillars, allowing the development of existing alliances and the establishment of innovative cooperation actions with institutions from all over the world (~2660 active agreements).\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-89c1bf7 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"89c1bf7\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-settings=\"{&quot;coursector_ext_hide_logged_in&quot;:&quot;false&quot;}\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tFaculty of Arts and Humanities (FLUP), with close to 3500 students, offers 13 undergraduate courses, 28 Master\u2019s courses and 8 doctoral courses in the fields of the Humanities and Social Sciences, as well as a wide variety of vocational training and open courses. Over the years, FLUP has participated in a significant number of national and international research projects, including projects financed by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology and several others financed by the European Union under Erasmus+, Erasmus Mundus, Horizon 2020, etc.. FLUP participates intensively in several mobility programmes for incoming and outgoing students, staff and researchers. The teaching staff and postgraduate students are also involved in the activities of 8 R&#038;D Units which hold varied and regular scientific activities. The diversity of scientific meetings, congresses, conferences and national and international seminars bears witness to the vitality of the research conducted. This is also clear in publications by teaching staff, conference and congress proceedings, books of scientific tribute and the various series of the journals published by several Departments. FLUP is well equipped with essential infrastructures and a dedicated R&#038;D building, which host the research centres, researchers, postgraduate students and postdoctoral researchers. The Faculty\u2019s Central Library holds close to 400.000 publications (available in its online catalogue) and provides specialized international databases, including a wide range of electronic publications and journals. \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-336ce7a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"336ce7a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-settings=\"{&quot;coursector_ext_hide_logged_in&quot;:&quot;false&quot;}\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The five researchers involved in the project belong to CITCEM \u2013 Transdisciplinary Research Centre \u00abCulture, Space and Memory\u00bb and have a large experience in coordinating and participating in national and international projects related to History Didactics, History of Education, the use of NICT and Digital Technologies in Secondary Schools and Higher Education. Over the last ten years, the team has supervised more than one hundred master thesis and over ten PhD thesis in History and History Didactics. They also have experience in supervising the internships in schools of dozens of teachers who are starting their training at schools:<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-54c66be elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"54c66be\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-settings=\"{&quot;coursector_ext_hide_logged_in&quot;:&quot;false&quot;}\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul style=\"margin-left: 20px; margin-top: 20px;\"><li>Cl\u00e1udia Pinto Ribeiro: Graduation (2005) and PhD (2009) in History from Faculty of Arts and Humanities of Oporto University. Since 2011, she has been a Professor of the Department of History, Political and International Studies of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of Oporto University and she is Director of Masters Course of History Teaching. She is also an integrated researcher from CITCEM in the group Education and Societal Challenges. She is a History textbook author and has several published studies in the fields of Contemporary History, History of Education and History Didactics.<\/li><li>Lu\u00eds Alberto Marques Alves: Graduated (1979) and PhD (1999) in History by Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto. Since 1979, he has been a Professor of the Department of History, Political and International Studies of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of Oporto University and he was Director of Masters Course of History Teaching between 2015 and 2019. He is also an integrated researcher from CITCEM in the group Education and Societal Challenges, coordinated by him. Over the last five years, he gathered the classes at the Faculty with the presidency of the Pedagogical Council, one of the highest structures of the institution. He has several published studies in the fields of Contemporary History of Portugal, History of Education and History Didactics. Over the last few years, he has coordinated several sponsored National and international projects.<\/li><li>Helena Vieira. Graduated in History (2007), Master in History and Heritage (2009) and PhD in History (History Education) (2014), from Oporto University. Since 2007 she has been an History teacher from basic and secondary education. She is also a researcher from CITCEM, with some works published in national and international journals.<\/li><li>Ana Isabel Dias Moreira PhD in Education (PhD in Education (applied didactics | History Education), from Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, 2018. Master&#8217;s degree in teaching of 1st and 2nd grades of Basic Education, by Escola Superior de Educa\u00e7\u00e3o do Polit\u00e9cnico do Porto. Teacher of History and Geography of Portugal, in the 2nd grade of Basic Education, in a private institution. Integrated researcher from CITCEM. Member of the Board or Scientific Board of several national and international congresses related to History of Education and Training Teachers.<\/li><li>Diana Raquel Martins. Graduation in History (2017), Master degree in History Teaching of the 3rd Cycle of Basic Education and Secondary School (2019) and PhD student (2020-2023) at Faculty of Arts and Humanities of Oporto University.
