En \u00e9l, se controla a Shay Patrick Cormac, un exmiembro de la ficticia Orden de los Asesinos que se une a una tambi\u00e9n ficticia Orden de los Templarios, enemiga de la primera, durante la Guerra de los Siete A\u00f1os. La jugabilidad mantiene el importante componente mar\u00edtimo del t\u00edtulo anterior, esta vez en distintos puntos del Atl\u00e1ntico Norte, aunque aparecen otras localizaciones como zonas de Nueva York, Par\u00eds y Lisboa.
