La llegada de la dinast\u00eda borb\u00f3nica coincidi\u00f3 con un an\u00e1lisis concebido desde los c\u00edrculos elitistas que entend\u00edan que Espa\u00f1a se encontraba en una profunda decadencia. Esta presunta decadencia producto de los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os de los Austrias, fue generando la necesidad de revertir la situaci\u00f3n mediante distintas propuestas para instruir a la poblaci\u00f3n. En este caso, se presenta un plan educativo propuesto por Gonz\u00e1lez Ca\u00f1averas. Sin embargo, la nueva propuesta no se presenta en una fecha inocente, 1794. Efectivamente, los acontecimientos de la Revoluci\u00f3n Francesa conllevaron a que los ilustrados revisaran los planes educativos propuestos, incidiendo en su posicionamiento con las monarqu\u00edas amenazadas.
