Una cuesti\u00f3n a la que se est\u00e1 prestando la atenci\u00f3n necesaria estos \u00faltimos a\u00f1os es la medida en la que la gente sab\u00eda o no firmar en la \u00e9poca del Renacimiento castellano, a trav\u00e9s especialmente de las escrituras notariales y la presencia (o no) de la r\u00fabrica al final del documento en cuesti\u00f3n. Al analizar cronol\u00f3gicamente la tasa de hombres que sab\u00edan firmar en \u00c1vila, se aprecia un gran incremento desde principios del siglo XVI hasta 1528, pasando de un 47,9% en 1503 a un 58,6% en 1528. Desde este momento el nivel porcentual se mantiene m\u00e1s o menos estable hasta 1603. Las mujeres, en cambio, muestran un nivel de alfabetizaci\u00f3n inferior al de los hombres, sabiendo firmar solamente el 6,3% de las que aparecen en las fuentes en 1503, terminando el siglo con un 14,5% en 1603 y con \u00fanicamente un repunte en 1553 con 38,9%, que puede deberse a las caracter\u00edsticas propias de este siglo, mostrando una tasa inferior de mujeres que no sab\u00edan firmar sus documentos.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
