Las relaciones matrimoniales entre diferentes familias obedec\u00edan a estrategias de reproducci\u00f3n basada en la concentraci\u00f3n y acumulaci\u00f3n del patrimonio. Entre la hidalg\u00eda era com\u00fan realizar semejantes operaciones buscando el beneficio material. La ciudad de Alcaraz no era ajena a estas mentalidades y dos de sus familias m\u00e1s importantes, los Corro Bustamante y los Au\u00f1\u00f3n, se unieron. Esta uni\u00f3n se produjo a trav\u00e9s de un doble matrimonio: dos hijos y dos hijas forjaron sendos v\u00ednculos matrimoniales que dar\u00edan sus frutos 13 a\u00f1os m\u00e1s tarde cuando uno de ellos, Juan Manuel, acapar\u00f3 la mayor parte de las propiedades al morir su hermano sin descendencia. Juan Manuel tambi\u00e9n hered\u00f3 de su suegra todos los v\u00ednculos y bienes libres que esta dispon\u00eda.
