Ante la rebeli\u00f3n religiosa surgida en los estados imperiales del coraz\u00f3n de Europa tras el reformismo propuesto por Lutero a\u00f1os atr\u00e1s, Carlos V tom\u00f3 cartas en el asunto para evitar que uno de sus territorios se desgajase por cuestiones pol\u00edtico-religiosas. Pese a que el significado de la victoria del emperador es de \u00edndole pol\u00edtica, no se debe olvidar la connotaci\u00f3n religiosa en donde el catolicismo vence al protestantismo. As\u00ed, en la imagen, Carlos muestra a la virgen con el ni\u00f1o sobre su pecho en una clara alusi\u00f3n a que Dios est\u00e1 de su lado. El significado de este cuadro pasa por mostrar a Carlos no como un vencedor, sino como un emperador capaz de gobernar sobre los distintos y diversos estados y religiones que conformaron la Monarqu\u00eda Hisp\u00e1nica. Art\u00edsticamente, es una obra novedosa para el imaginario europeo, ya que sintetiza la retrat\u00edstica romana ecuestre iniciada en la \u00e9poca renacentista que tendr\u00e1 su apogeo desde la segunda mitad del siglo XVI.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Retrato de Carlos V realizada por Tiziano en 1548.
