Form\u00f3 parte del primer encargo que recibi\u00f3 el maestro zaragozano para la Real F\u00e1brica de Tapices de Santa B\u00e1rbara en 1774-75, pese a que la composici\u00f3n fuese invenci\u00f3n de Francisco Bayeu. Esta escena estaba en consonancia con el uso que los monarcas hac\u00edan del Sitio Real de El Escorial, donde pasaban el oto\u00f1o.
