Cayetano, de pie, viste levita oscura abierta dejando entrever el chaleco de cuadros y el pa\u00f1uelo al cuello mientras su mujer, sentada en el sof\u00e1, viste traje blanco con mangas abullonadas y fich\u00fa carmes\u00ed cubri\u00e9ndole los hombres. Esta sostiene en su regazo un beb\u00e9 cubierto con un mant\u00f3 a la vez que con su mano derecha abraza a su hijo mayor. La estancia burguesa es completada con una silla con ropajes y un velador sobrio donde se esparcen algunos documentos. Cayetano Fuentes estaba vinculado a la Corte como sastre de Palacio aunque es conocido por malograr el secuestro de Isabel II cuando era una ni\u00f1a.
