Los motivos de este traslado se debieron principalmente a la falta de espacio ante la masiva afluecnia de alumnos, predominantemente masculina. Sin embargo, esto no impide que se encuentre un n\u00famero llamativo de mujeres en la instituci\u00f3n que desarrollaron sus habilidades art\u00edsticas, no desde un punto de vista profesional si no como afici\u00f3n. Las mujeres no ingresaron como alumnas ni acceder siquiera a puestos de relevancia salvo algunas que lograron ser miembros oficiales por otras v\u00edas: \u00abacad\u00e9mico de honor\u00bb, \u00abacad\u00e9mico de m\u00e9rito\u00bb y \u00abacad\u00e9mico supernumerario\u00bb.
