La composici\u00f3n muestra la destrucci\u00f3n de la ciudad de Tenochititl\u00e1n por parte de los espa\u00f1oles que ocupan toda la escena quemando los posibles \u00eddolos de los ind\u00edgenas. La obra es realizada con la t\u00e9cnica del enconchado.
