Con una carta de presentaci\u00f3n de Erasmo de Rotterdam, Holbein entr\u00f3 en el c\u00edrculo de Tomas Moro viviendo cerca de este en Chelsea. Moro, famoso tanto como estudioso como humanista y autor de Utop\u00eda, fue un gran estadista. En este momento, sirvi\u00f3 a Enrique VIII de Inglaterra como consejero privado para posteriormente ocnvertirse en su Canciller en 1529.
