La necesidad de contar con mandos mejor cualificados se hizo m\u00e1s acuciante por las innovaciones t\u00e9cnicas que trajo el siglo XVIII en materia b\u00e9lica, desembocando en la creaci\u00f3n de academias militares, que jugaron un papel principal en la difusi\u00f3n de nuevos conocimientos y en la formaci\u00f3n humana y profesional de los futuros mandos del ej\u00e9rcito.
