Felipe de Borb\u00f3n, ante la negativa de los consejeros de Arag\u00f3n a eliminar sus fueros, decret\u00f3 la supresi\u00f3n del Consejo de Arag\u00f3n. Este ten\u00eda su jurisdicci\u00f3n en los territorios pertenecientes a dicha Corona: Arag\u00f3n, Catalu\u00f1a, Valencia, Mallorca y Cerde\u00f1a; y su labor era el control de los fueros y de la jurisprudencia. El objetivo del bando felipista era centralizar las instituciones en el Consejo y C\u00e1mara de Castilla.
