El malestar entre la poblaci\u00f3n hac\u00eda que las autoridades intentaran tomar medidas para evitar los motines. En Palencia tenemos noticias de que, en 1766, el corregidor Jos\u00e9 Firmat le comunic\u00f3 al Conde de Aranda (presidente del Consejo) el aumento de panaderos con hornos costeados por el Ayuntamiento para evitar las revueltas.
