The collaborative work, produced by Jan Brueghel the Elder, to whom the figures are attributed, and Joost de Momper, who depicted the landscape, has an artistic quality in which a number of different shots accumulate, showing the busy activity of the peasantry in the Flemish space. Activities range from transporting foodstuffs in horse-drawn carts, picnics, harvesting produce, apparent trade (in the foreground at the lower left), as well as what appears to be, on the left, sowing.
