Print of the Ommerschans beggar asylum. The main building had about thirty rooms where men and women slept (separately) with about 40 to 50 people. There were all kinds of outbuildings where the residents had to sew, weave, spin, or make robes or carpent. Nearby, men accompanied by soldiers performed labor in the fields.
