The Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando conserves an exceptional heritage consisting of more than 1,500 paintings, 1,500 sculptures, 15,300 drawings, 35,000 prints, 2,000 photographs, as well as furniture, silver and goldsmith objects, porcelain, ceramics and other decorative arts. The Royal Academy of Fine Arts aims to “promote artistic creativity, as well as the study, dissemination and protection of the arts and cultural heritage, particularly painting, sculpture, architecture, music and the new image arts”.
