]]> Miguel and Juan Gónzalez dealt with the theme of the conquest of Mexico in 24 panels. The composition shows the destruction of the city of Tenochititlán by the Spaniards, who occupy the entire scene, burning any idols of the indigenous people. The work is executed using the technique of “enconchado”. This is applied to a wooden support lined with linen cloth and sometimes a gesso preparation is applied, fragments of nacre are applied with animal glue and then covered with the pictorial layer.
