This website brings us closer to the historical past of the Lecrín Valley. In this regard, it is worth highlighting the important work carried out by the Grupo Catastro-Lecrín, which was created in 2009 and belongs to the Centro de Estudios Históricos del Valle de Lecrín y la Alpujarra (CEHVAL), which deals with history through the Valle de Lecrín and La Alpujarra of Granada and which highlights the great value that can be gained from the exploitation of such a valuable source of documentation as the Cadastre of the Marqués de la Ensenada. The attempted fiscal reform of the Ensenada Cadastre in Andalusia was carried out during the first four years after its inception in 1750. The operations carried out in the Intendencia de Granada were under the direction of Luis González Torres Navarra, Marquis of Campoverde. Initially, the purpose of this operation was to improve in some way the system of administration of the territory. Ensenada’s documentation has allowed us to discover aspects of society, as well as the complexity of a predominantly rural geographical space.

The post Catastro-Lecrín Group first appeared on History Lab.

This online resource consists of a database that provides both researchers and other users with data recorded in the Cadastre of the Marquis of La Ensenada on the Lecrin Valley. It highlights the great value that can be derived from the exploitation of such a valuable source of documentation as the Cadastre of the Marquis of La Ensenada. The attempted fiscal reform of the Ensenada Cadastre in Andalusia was carried out during the first four years after its inception in 1750. The operations carried out in the Intendencia de Granada were under the direction of Luis González Torres Navarra, Marquis of Campoverde. Initially, the aim of this operation was to improve in some way the system of administration of the territory. In short, it is a work promoted by the GENARQ research project (History of Architecture from a Gender Perspective) developed within the Families, Inequality and Generational Change, 1700-1900 Project. Among its sections we can carry out searches related to homeowners through a glossary specialised by surnames and sex, as well as by houses and references to other buildings.

The post The houses of the Lecrín Valley (18th c.) first appeared on History Lab.

Didactica 2.0 Museos en Femenino is the result of joint work between a team from the Instituto de Investigaciones Feministas of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, the Asociación e-Mujeres and the teams from the museums participating in the project: Museo del Prado, Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Museo Arqueológico Nacional, Museo del Traje and Museo Nacional de Cerámica González Martí. The project focuses on women in art and aims to develop joint actions in the field of museums to disseminate and facilitate knowledge of the cultural heritage held in them and promote their integration. On the website, each of the participating museums offers detailed and precise itineraries, as well as access to the corresponding teaching guides. These guides are extremely useful for both students and teachers. It is therefore a very useful tool for dissemination and teaching to guide the analysis of art and history from a gender perspective. For the period of the Modern Age, the proposals that best fit its chronology are those of the Museo del Prado and, in part, those of the Museo Nacional de Cerámica González Martí and the Museo del Traje.

The post Didactics 2.0 Museums in women’s terms first appeared on History Lab.

Agrega 2 is a project developed between the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport, Red.es and the Autonomous Communities. It is a repository of educational content that can be found organised according to the content curriculum in Secondary Education and Baccalaureate and can be stored and used online. The centralisation covers a wide range of topics. In this case, the chosen theme is the music of the Modern Age around characteristic figures of the period such as the Sevillian composer Francisco Guerrero or Cristóbal Morales. It also discusses Baroque and secular music, highlighting the fundamental role of the organ as a key instrument in the field of composition. The website acts as an editable resource where you can complete small exercises and notes that highlight the highlights.

The post Music in the Modern Age: Francisco Guerrero first appeared on History Lab.
