The Boijmans Museum in Rotterdam houses an important collection of works of art spanning the period from the late Middle Ages to the 20th century. Pieter Brueghel the Elder’s Tower of Babel stands out along with other works by Jan van Eyck, Hans Memling, Bosch, Quentin Metsys, Tintoretto, Rubens, Monet, Magritte and Salvador Dalí. The results can be filtered by artist, title of the work, date, date of acquisition, period, material, subject and place of provenance.

The Vienna Museum of Art History opened its doors in 1891 and was inaugurated by Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria-Hungary. Much of its collection comes from the House of Habsburg. Its collection of Renaissance and Baroque musical instruments is considered the most important in the world. It also houses a large number of paintings by Pieter Brueghel the Elder and Titian. There are also important paintings by Velázquez, Rubens, Vermeer, Bosch and Arcimboldo, as well as the Saltcellar of Francis I of France by Benvenuto Cellini and a very large numismatic collection. The search in the catalogue can be filtered using a timeline or by selecting the type of object, medium, material, period, personality to which the object represents or is linked, and in alphabetical order.

Prado Museum. Collection.

The Prado Museum was inaugurated in 1819. It houses the largest collections of works by Bosch, Titian, El Greco, Rubens, Velázquez and Goya. Although painting predominates, especially that of the 16th and 17th centuries, the museum also houses sculptures, decorative works and works on paper from Antiquity to the 19th century. Resources can be searched by author, theme, period, school, material, support, technique, type of work, catalogue number and location, as well as by iconography.
