]]> The National Gallery of Canada is located in Ottawa and was opened in the late 19th century. Its collections are divided into the following categories: Canadian Art; Native Art; European, American and Asian Art; Contemporary Art; and Prints and Drawings. Its photographic archive is one of the most extensive in the world, including Josef Sudek, Eadweard Muybridge and Paul Strand. The National Gallery is also distinguished by works by El Greco, Orazio Gentileschi, Canaletto, Benjamin West, John Constable and William Turner.
