On 18 September 1517 Charles arrives in Spain and becomes the first king of the Habsburg dynasty. After inheriting the Holy Roman Empire, the beginning of the popular revolts against the King is explained. During the video, Charles’ great goal of unifying the kingdom under Catholicism, domestic and foreign policy, and the wars for world hegemony are explained.
