The Seville Museum of Fine Arts was founded as the “Museum of Paintings” by Royal Decree on 16 September 1835, with works from convents and monasteries confiscated by the liberal government of Mendizábal. This art gallery is considered to be one of the most important in Spain and through this interactive virtual tour we can easily and quickly access a large part of its permanent exhibitions of religious-themed paintings, mostly belonging to the Baroque style. It also has important works by Francisco Pacheco, Zurbarán and Murillo.
The building where the museum is located dates back to the beginning of the 17th century, built on the ancient remains of a Mudejar building, the design of which is attributed to the architect Juan de Oviedo.

Bilbao Fine Arts Museum

The Bilbao Fine Arts Museum and the Museum of Modern Art joined forces in 1945, the year in which the old building was erected. In the 1970s, an annex was added, which later, in 2001, was completed with the latest modifications to the building that we can visit today. Through the virtual visit we can approach the masterpieces of authors such as the 16th century German painter and designer of engravings Lucas Cranach the Elder, the Italian baroque painter Artemisia Lomi Gentileschi, El Greco, Murillo, Zurbarán and Goya, among many others.

Prado Museum. Studies and Restorations.

Among the studies and restorations carried out by the Prado Museum are the miniature collection of the art gallery, the Santo Domingo de Silos Altarpiece by Bartolomé Bermejo, the Two and the Third of May by Goya, The Purification of the Virgin by Pedro de Campaña, the Immaculate Conception of the Venerables by Murillo, The Nativity by Pietro da Cortona, Philip II on horseback by Rubens, Adam and Eve by Dürer and The Calvary by Rogier van der Weyden, among others.

Access to more than 30,000 pieces on display at the Louvre Museum. The images of the works are displayed in high resolution and are accompanied by the technical data sheet, a brief commentary, the location and the possibility of viewing small details of the works. In addition to certain works from the Egyptian and Mesopotamian cultures and others from Greek, Etruscan and Roman art, the Louvre houses numerous pieces of Islamic art (7th-19th centuries) and decorative arts (from the Middle Ages to the 19th century). However, it stands out for its collection of French paintings (Poussin, Ingres, Géricault, Watteau, Delacroix) and for having the most valuable collection of works by Leonardo da Vinci. Works by Rubens, Rembrandt, Vermeer, Zurbarán, Murillo, José de Ribera and Goya also hang on its walls.
