]]> Among the studies and restorations carried out by the Prado Museum are the miniature collection of the art gallery, the Santo Domingo de Silos Altarpiece by Bartolomé Bermejo, the Two and the Third of May by Goya, The Purification of the Virgin by Pedro de Campaña, the Immaculate Conception of the Venerables by Murillo, The Nativity by Pietro da Cortona, Philip II on horseback by Rubens, Adam and Eve by Dürer and The Calvary by Rogier van der Weyden, among others.

]]> The Prado Museum was inaugurated in 1819. It houses the largest collections of works by Bosch, Titian, El Greco, Rubens, Velázquez and Goya. Although painting predominates, especially that of the 16th and 17th centuries, the museum also houses sculptures, decorative works and works on paper from Antiquity to the 19th century. Resources can be searched by author, theme, period, school, material, support, technique, type of work, catalogue number and location, as well as by iconography.

]]> The correspondence of the directors of the art gallery, economic documentation, museum projects, archives recording the museum’s activity during the Civil War, letters and documents of the Madrazo family (from 1815 to 1950) and archival material donated by José María Cervelló covering the period 1516-1923 are available for consultation and viewing. They amount to more than 13,000 records in total.
