The Yale Center for British Art focuses on English painting from the 17th-20th centuries, and its collection includes works by William Hogarth, J. M. W. Turner, Thomas Gainsborough, John Constable, Sir Joshua Reynolds, Thomas Lawrence, Ben Nicholson and Barbara Hepworth. It is also important for its collection of rare books and manuscripts, including treatises, bestiaries and atlases. Images in the public domain are indicated.

The British painting section of the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux is dominated by 18th and 19th century portraiture, with Allam Ramsay, Joshua Reynolds and Thomas Lawrence among the most important artists. The subjects are mainly historical, religious and mythological.

Prado Museum. Collection.

The Prado Museum was inaugurated in 1819. It houses the largest collections of works by Bosch, Titian, El Greco, Rubens, Velázquez and Goya. Although painting predominates, especially that of the 16th and 17th centuries, the museum also houses sculptures, decorative works and works on paper from Antiquity to the 19th century. Resources can be searched by author, theme, period, school, material, support, technique, type of work, catalogue number and location, as well as by iconography.
