]]> In a canon law text, an anonymous Sicilian student at the University of Padua in 1427, perhaps as a reminder, noted down the fees he had to pay in order to take exams. In 1956 Jacques Le Goff published an essay on this document focusing on the costs of the university in the 15th century and the maintenance of teachers.
