										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Portrait by Rubens, the first equestrian portrait of a non-royal figure. Philip III&#8217;s valide appears as a statesman and warrior at the height of his powers, ready to defend the reputation of the Spanish Monarchy. It is a key portrait for understanding the pre-eminence of the court aristocracy during the Habsburg period.
