The presence of the Hispanic Monarchy in America resulted in the spread of the identity of the conquerors, their language, developing an intense process of evangelisation, hispanisation and acculturation. In this context, the first universities were created in the mid-16th century, such as those of Mexico (1551) and Lima (1555).
