King of weak and sickly constitution known as ‘The Bewitched’. He married twice, but had no children. After his death, the War of Succession is provoked by Philip of Anjou, the French pretender and grandson of Louis XIV, and Archduke Charles of Austria. Charles II names Philip of Anjou as his heir, bringing the Bourbons to the Spanish throne. The film was directed by Ricardo García Cárcel and lasts 44:42 minutes
