Parish registers are a fundamental source for establishing the life trajectories and genealogies of individuals. Baptism, marriage and death are key stages in the life cycle that are catalogued in the parish registers. In this case, the document refers to the death of Melchor de Macanaz, illustrious literary figure and public prosecutor of the Council of Castile during the reign of Philip V. Thanks to the register, we know that he died in the Albacete town of Hellín on 5 December 1760, the widower of María Maximiliana.
